That's a pattern they grown used to; an unspoken practice that enables the person "disconnect" separate from the racing ideas that flood their thoughts when daily life finally comes to an end.
Increasing Trend: Using Alcohol to Cope With Anxiety
This story reflects something that I have been observing increasingly frequently during sessions. As a psychotherapist, I've observed a notable pattern: a growing percentage of individuals who are using drinking to handle their stress.
Research reveals that about over a third of adults who consumed beverages admitted doing so to alleviate stress and 18.5% to handle anxiety.
Acknowledging Global Distress Exposure
We navigate a period of known as global distress exposure. Never have we been so frequently reminded of crisis, conflict and instability. Despite we turn off technology, the concerns remain of financial strain, job insecurity, ecological anxiety and the emotional fatigue that results from experiencing without control.
