Two men have been charged following a suitcase robbery where a suspected pepper spray resulted in harm at London's Heathrow Airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two counts of robbery and charges for using a harmful chemical, authorities have stated.

This legal action stems from an probe of an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on the weekend. Earlier that day, two women were robbed of their suitcases stolen after exiting a parking garage elevator, authorities reported.

A young child was one of the people hurt during the incident. Five people required hospital care and were eventually allowed to go home.

This event – which authorities stated was not part of a series and not being treated as terrorism – caused train delays and the temporary blocking of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a limited duration.
